Today is the first day of Spring – and as we draw closer to Easter Sunday, the season brings blooming flowers and trees, decorating all creation for the celebration of the resurrection.

I took this photo (left) yesterday with the iPhone camera, in the early evening (thank you daylight savings time). This flowering cherry tree is in our front yard, and we only get these white blooms for a week or so before they are replaced with green leaves. Still, these few days of beauty are very enjoyable.

UPDATE 3/21/12: The Northpoint Plum started blooming this morning, and I was able to get a photo, again with the iPhone in the early evening. The photo is to the right.
